Mission & Values

We are dedicated to provided opportunities for all young people to live a better life. Our donations are given to all children in need, without regards to their race, religion or background. We strive to create a better world and we thank all of you for helping us to achieve that.

We were founded almost 100 years ago, by John Smith, the child of immigrants, who grew up to love the country and the people around him. Smith started in his charitable activities by donating the farm where he was raised to start a summer camp for underprivileged city children. Since then, his activities have grown, prospered and expanded.

The members of our board of directors are thought leaders who have made a significant contribution to our society. Each and every one of them brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organisation.

Larry Coolidge - Boad Chair

Larry Coolidge is credited as the founder of the Powell, Ohio Sertoma Club.

He started the club in 1973 with the aim of serving the community and improving the lives of those with hearing loss.

The club has since grown to become a well-respected organization in Powell, and it continues to make a positive impact on the community through its various service projects and initiatives.

Coolidge is a lifelong resident of Powell and has been a active member of the community for many years. He is a retired real estate broker and is currently the president of the Powell Sertoma Club.

He is also involved in a number of other organizations, including the Powell Rotary Club and the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to his work with the Sertoma Club, Coolidge is also known for his commitment to helping others. He has volunteered countless hours to a variety of causes, and he is always willing to lend a helping hand. His dedication to his community has earned him the respect and admiration of many people in Powell.

Chip Vance - Treasurer

Chip Vance, driving force behind Powell's Auto Assets, wears two hats in town: automotive and altruistic. On one hand, he meticulously maintains his 25,000 sq ft garage, a haven for Porsche, Audi, and Volkswagen enthusiasts, offering not just sales but service expertise and performance upgrades.

He pours his lifelong passion for cars into building a community of gearheads, just as he meticulously restores vintage race cars.

But off the racetrack, Chip switches gears, serving as the treasurer of the Powell Sertoma.

His financial acumen oversees the club's charitable works, ensuring their service to the community runs smoothly, fueled by the same dedication he shows to his customers. Whether tuning engines or managing funds, Chip's commitment to Powell runs deep, making him a vital part of its diverse, vibrant tapestry.

Guy Naples - Secretary

Guy Naples, a name synonymous with hearing clarity in Powell, Ohio, weaves the threads of expertise and empathy in his practice.

Beyond the stethoscope and audiograms, Guy is a pillar of the community, his warm smile and gentle spirit as potent as the hearing aids he meticulously recommends.

Whether deciphering whispers for a retired farmer or restoring a child's first songbird trill, his passion for sound resonates in every adjustment.

Beyond the clinic walls, Guy champions the Powell Sertoma, his dedication to service ringing as loud as the church bells he helped amplify. With each restored connection, Guy Naples brings harmony not just to Powell's ears, but to its very soul.
